    Time is wasted in the company's units searching for certain types of documents related to the work of that unit.

Solutions

Add a field with a link to the required documents on certain pages of the corporate portal.

    The field should be added both from the administrative panel of the corporate portal and from the user interface.

    Access to add and edit should be available to employees who have access to edit the company structure.

    The field type should accept both text data and html code.

Project Details

The essence of the task from the client was as follows:

We have a company structure (units) on the corporate portal. We needed to add requisites (links to regulations) to the pages of the units.The result of the revision will be a field where each unit has its own link that can be changed.

How did it go?

The implementation took place in stages.

STAGE 1. we added and edited the required field only from the portal admin panel.

The field "UF_DEPARTMENT_DOC_LINK:" of the "Link" type was added to the Departments info block.

The administrator had to enter these links in the admin panel in this field and then it would be displayed in the appropriate Unit in the company structure.

STAGE 2. PROCESSING

The second stage was to modify and add this field from the portal interface for everyone who has access to edit the structure, as well as to finalise the reading of information from the interface field and writing it in to the database.

STAGE 3. CHANGE OF FIELD TYPE

The third stage was to change the type of field from a regular text field to an html code field. It means that the values in it will have to be written not just in text or a link, but also in html code.

To realise the goal:

    Added the field "Details (link to the provision)" in the admin panel and in the portal interface of the structure's subdivision page;
    icon
    Added the ability to fill in and edit this field from the company structure interface for users who have access to edit the company structure;
    icon
    The field type for writing html code has been customised.

Results

    All employees find and work with the latest version of an important document in a few clicks on the corporate portal.
